Explosive Manufacture

RedBull operates a “state-of-the-art” explosives manufacturing plant south of Auckland to the highest international safety and quality standards.

Our plant produces superior quality bulk emulsion with the proven capability to expand blast patterns and therefore reduce blasting costs.

We produce various explosives – RedStar Bulk Emulsion (including an underground bulk product), RedPak Packaged Explosives and ANFO. Our bulk emulsion’s very high Velocity of Detonation (>5,000m/sec) and outstanding heave properties ensures superior fragmentation at lower cost. Our RedPak Packaged Emulsion is available in a range of diameters and lengths to suit customer applications.

Our safety management includes compliance with internationally recognised safety systems and procedures and regular external audits.
